The picture of the ancient statue named "Victoria" (from Rome) I took in Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.
Moscow Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts is the second-largest, after the St.-Petersburg Hermitage, collection of foreign arts in Russia. The museum was open in Moscow on the 31st of May 1912. In 1932 was named The State Museum of Fine Arts, in 1937 was named in honour of Alexander Pushkin the great Russian poet. The creation of the museum was a noteworthy event for Russia because there had not been such a precedent before. The new museum accumulated the democratic traditions of Russian enlightenment and the experience of European culture.
The exposition of the Museum includes today a vast collection of tinted plaster casts of famous ancient, medieval and Renaissance sculptures and a collection of original works of foreign artists, sculptors and graphics together with objects of decorative arts. Each year the museum has a plenty of interesting exhibitions.
It is not aloud to use flash to take photos inside the museum. I tryed to correct colors, levels and reduce a lot of noise in Photoshop for this picture, also I decided to blur background here to better show the main image.
