Today I saw off my client from Canada who likes architecture, especially Russian orthodox churches. She came second time to Moscow and we spent together a great time to discover Moscow Countryside. Each day we choose different direction from the Moscow city and, honestly, I have a feeling right now, that I have seen as many interesting sites, places during last two weeks as I saw during all my life before.
Moscow region is pretty big (avg. 150 miles in diameter) and on this vast area located a lot of interesting churches built from Medieval times till to the revolution by prominent Russian architects by the orders of patriarchs (popes), tsars, famous or even just rich people. A lot of churches are still survived after revolution and for a long Soviet times during at least 70 years…. and now a days is renovated, but some is still waiting their fate in a VERY bad conditions, which were fortunately were not explored during Stalin times, but were ransack and treated outrageously.
This picture I took during shooting a very beautiful church in Ubory, which is located on west about 30 km from Moscow city in Odintsovo district…. BUT my next pictures with beautiful Russian orthodox churches which is not so popular and easy to get as like, for example, St. Basil on the Red square, but no less attractive and marvelous … will be a bit later… I hope soon :)…

Beautiful photograph of Ubory-Odintsovo countryside, my friend. I found your photos while searching for images of Russian villages through which the Nazis passed 67 years ago. Wife and I will be visiting Moscow Oblast for the first time next year, and I'm greatly looking forward to exploring the villages immediately west of the capital.
