This is the fragment (bottom) of a 140- metre obelisk, which stands on the main square of the Victory Park. At its base, St. George, the symbol of the city of Moscow, pitches a final, mortal lance from his rearing horse into the dying, dissected dragon of fascism. The Park was completed in 1995 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Soviet Union's World War Two victory.
